SolAire Salmon Run Grants Available
Deadline is November 13, 2009

Requests for proposals for the SolAire Salmon Run Grant Program are currently being accepted by the Environmental Center.

DEADLINE:
  Friday, November 13, 2009

PURPOSE:
The Environmental Center is a non-profit organization working to embed sustainability into daily life in central Oregon.  Through our SolAire Salmon Run Grant Program, the Environmental Center is able to support local non-profit organizations and schools in their efforts to restore native fish habitat and educate future generations about the importance of healthy rivers and streams.

The Environmental Center is currently accepting applications for the 2009 SolAire Salmon Run Grant Program.  Projects must focus on native fish habitat restoration or enhancement efforts in the tri-county area of Crook, Deschutes or Jefferson counties and should include both direct restoration and hands on education.  Favor will be given to those projects that include peer learning and that report findings and experience to a broader audience for the purpose of increasing awareness.  The Environmental Center is particularly interested in funding projects that include collaborative efforts between organizations, utilize volunteers and provide matching funds by other cash and /or in-kind support.

Proposals must be postmarked by Friday, November 13, 2009 and mailed to:
