(Working Wonders is opening up their art room for a wild and crazy few days of costume making heaven!)

The Procession is coming...

Help give the natural world a greater presence in our streets then follow the parade to the Earth Day Fair for some earth-friendly food, fun and knowledge.

Where: On Louisiana Avenue next to McMenamins in downtown Bend
Rules:  No written words, no live animals, no motorized vehicles  







The Central Oregon Environmental Center is excited to offer several unique Procession costume-making workshops in preparation for the 2008 event on Saturday, April 19th.


This year's menu of workshops include:

BEE WEAR - ages 0 - 6
Buzz down the streets of Bend, and bring awareness to this very important insect.

SUN LANTERNS - ages 7 - 12
Create a lantern with a painting of the sun on the outside.  You'll shine the sun's warmth and energy down on everyone at the parade!

WOLF MASKS - Ages 7 to adult
Bring your own pack and together create a wolf mask in honor of this magnificent species.  Get ready to howl down the streets of Bend!

SNAKE HATS - ages 4 - 12
Dangle a snake from your hat and slither along through downtown Bend.

WATER MASKS AND HATS - Ages 4 - 12
Rush, gush or splash.  Get creative with this essential, life sustaining element
