Enjoy & Help Protect Wild Nature with the Sierra Club this Summer!
Summer is a busy wildlands season; Please join the Sierra Club's ongoing effective efforts to protect our irreplaceable public lands forests & wildlife. Click the link above for a complete list of meetings, events, and ways you can get involved.
July 8th Bend Ft. Rock Deschutes Forest Service public meeting on the Kapka Butte and Elk Kwohl snowmobile proposals, 1230 NE 3rd Ave, Suite A-262, Red Oak Square, Bend, USFS District Conference Room, 4 PM.
July 9th Bend Ft. Rock Deschutes Forest Service public field trip to the proposed Deadlog logging thinning project in the Quartz Mountain area, meet at the District office 1230 NE 3rd Ave, Suite A-262, Red Oak Square, Bend to join the day-long carpool trip to this area.
July 10th Malheur NF - meeting with agency officials addressing OHV and travel management issues. Please contact me if you're interested in attending.
July 16th, Malheur NF - Blue Mountains Forest Partners collaborative group field trip to the Dads Creek project area. Please contact me if you're interested in attending.
Additionally, we have ongoing field survey work - if interested in joining in please contact me. Dates/times are flexible to meet interested volunteers' schedules. Help bring needed conservation changes to otherwise ecologically harmful projects in the region, by documenting conservation concerns in several Forest Service and BLM management projects, including timber sales, livestock grazing, OHVs, geothermal exploration, and others.

There is also hike - field survey work needed in the above national forests assessing impacts from ongoing projects changed through appeal and litigation negotiations.
