Volunteer Opportunities With the Environmental Center and our Member Groups

  • Current Literature Editor Position, the Natural Areas Journal.  The person in this volunteer position would review the large scientific and management literature related to natural areas and the interests of members of the Natural Areas Association. Key citations would be gathered into categories, and short summaries or reviews (1-3 sentences) would be provided for key papers. The resulting Current Literature column is turned into the Managing Editor of the Natural Areas Journal four times per year on specific due dates. This work will take about 4 hours per week, and is best suited for a person of broad conservation interests who is already perusing much of this literature. Please contact NAA Journal Editor Steven Link at slink@wsu.edu.

  • Indoor Fall Clean Out Project!  The Natural Areas Association needs two or more volunteers (could be a small group project, too) to help clean out and organize our downtown storage unit. We can't get to our supplies! This is an opportunity to roll up your sleeves and work 'behind the scenes', to make a difference in just one afternoon. The date is open; you let us know! For more information contact Carla at info@naturalarea.org, or 541-317-0199.

If you have any questions or would like more information about our organization visit our website or call us at (541) 549-1459.
